The BoD in its 86th meeting held on 26th July, 2017 approved the creation of separate Information Technology Wing in the Corporation, keeping in view the upcoming potential in the IT field.

The projects/work undertaken by IT Wing, SICOP is as under:-

1) Implementations of BRAP: The J&K Government has nominated/designated Industries & Commerce Department as Nodal Agency and J&K SICOP has been entrusted the job of implementation of Business Reform Action Plan (BRAP) under Ease of Doing Business in J&K State vide letter No: IND/DIC-102/2014-P.IV dated 16.02.2018 .
BRAP’19 of 13 Departments and District Level BRAP of 22 Departments is under implementation.

2) Data Centre for Industries & Commerce Department: J&K SICOP has established Tier-3 Data Centre to cater the needs of I&C department and various other departments/corporations of Jammu & Kashmir. It has dual power backup, dual 40Mbps Leased Line Connectivity, proper air-conditioning, firewall security with Intrusion Detection System, CCTV surveillance, data backup etc.

3) GIS Mapping with MIS for SICOP and SIDCO estates: Geographical Information System (GIS) Mapping with Satellite based GPS mapping of the industrial estates. The field survey and mapping of the industrial estates of SICOP and DIC industrial estates has been completed. The web portal has been made live at www.udyogwire.com

4) e-Services Web Portals: J&K SICOP has implemented e-Services Web Portals for following departments as per guidelines of DIPP, GoI:
